February 2022 Hours
Please note that following the lifting of provincial restrictions on January 31st, Hutchison House will once again be open to visitors.
MUSEUM CLOSED
Please note that Hutchison House Museum is CLOSED for the duration of the province’s Step Two of the Roadmap to Reopen. Please email staff at if you have any questions during this time.
Happy Hogmanay!
Did you know that the first-foot was the first person to enter a household on New Year’s Day? The first-foot would bring some gifts to the house, sometimes whisky, coal, and black bun. The first-foot was thought to bring good luck for the coming year.
Work From Home Update

Please note that the Fireside Stories event has been cancelled.
Holiday Museum Closure
Please note that the museum will be closed from Tuesday, December 21st until Tuesday, December 28th. We will re-open on Wednesday, December 29th.
Vaccination Policy at Hutchison House
Hutchison House requires that all visitors entering the museum over the age of twelve must be fully vaccinated. You must present your vaccine passport and accompanying photo ID upon entry into the museum.
Victorian Christmas
