The Peterborough Historical Society, in partnership with the Quaker Park Tennis Club, is publishing a short history of the Quaker Park Tennis Club by Professor Chris Dummitt. The booklet will be available for purchase later in May at a price of $6.00 per copy. PHS members will enjoy a discount of 30%. Copies may be ordered by phone or by email for curbside pickup. Christopher Dummitt is Professor of Canadian history at Trent University and host of the podcast 1867 & All That. His book Unbuttoned: A History of Mackenzie King’s Secret Life was shortlisted for several major awards including the best book on Canadian politics from the Writers Trust in 2017.
