Update on reopening of the Peterborough Historical Society & Hutchison House Museum
The Government of Ontario has moved to Stage 3 of the relaxation of the COVID-19 lockdown for the Peterborough area. Although this allows some increase in the number of people allowed to gather, the PHS and Hutchison House Museum will continue to plan their programs and events to keep well within the required safety limits.
In face of the challenges and continued risks of resuming on-site monthly meetings, PHS has decided instead to produce monthly virtual PHS Talks that may be viewed on our YouTube Channel. The plan is to schedule them to be posted on the third Tuesday of the month, the traditional date of the regular monthly meetings.
Hutchison House Museum re-opened to the public as of July 15. Hutchison House is operating on reduced hours and will require advance registration to visit the museum. Tours will be available by appointment only Tuesday through Friday from 10am to 4pm. For more information or to register a visit to Hutchison House please call the museum office at 705-743-9710.
